Welcome to KaranMistry.com. I am currently a second year graduate student and PhD Candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department (Course 2) at the Massachusettes Institute of Technology (MIT). Presently, I am working on my Master of Science (S.M.) degree and will continue with my PhD once I have submitted my master's thesis. My research is a part of the Center for Clean Water and Clean Energy and I work in the W. M. Rohsenow Heat and Mass Transfer Laboratory. The current focus is thermal based desalination methods and more information can be found at my research page.

Prior to starting at MIT, I earned my B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and had internships at Raytheon and BP.

Please explore this website to learn more about my interests and experiences. Also note that I do not currently have a public listing on any social networking website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
