Welcome to KaranMistry.com. I have just completed my second year of graduate school and am a PhD Candidate in the Mechanical Engineering Department (Course 2) at the Massachusettes Institute of Technology (MIT). I earned my Master of Science (S.M.) in June, 2010. My research is a part of the Center for Clean Water and Clean Energy and I work in the Rohsenow Kendall Heat and Mass Transfer Laboratory. The current focus of my research is thermal based desalination methods and more information can be found at my research page.

Prior to starting at MIT, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and had internships at Raytheon and BP.

Please explore this website to learn more about my interests and experiences. Also note that I do not currently have a public listing on any social networking website. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
